If you are looking for a place to  have dinner with your friends or to go on a first date, the restaurant OZO on rue Quincampoix, just by the Pompidou Center is the perfect spot. The place is simply gorgeous, with a subdued lightning, designer furniture, comfy red velvet couches, a dark floor and lounge music. The staff is always really friendly and efficient and even though it’s a relatively big restaurant, on two floors, it’s rarely noisy and you are never bothered by your neighbors. If you are lucky, you can even end up with a table in a small alcove, the ideal location for a-heart-to-heart. One of Ozo specialties is their delicious cocktails – among them I particularly recommend their raspberries mojitos – served on a pretty silvery tray with appetizers. Let’s talk about the food now! The idea is that your meal is going to be composed of a single dish, customized for you. Choose the meat or the fish you prefer, the way you want it cooked, an elaborate sauce and the side dishes you would like. For instance, you can decide to have duck with a teriyaki sauce with a zucchini gratin and wild mushrooms. They also offer vegetarian plates. I never was disappointed: the meat is always perfectly cooked and the side orders original and really tasty. In summer, you can even enjoy a small terrace at the front of the restaurant. On Sundays, they serve a delicious and really generous brunch. You can also decide you just wanna come to have a drink, in this case I recommend to arrive early and to sit at the bar. And if you want to end your evening in the neighborhood, the Marais, just nearby, is full of lively bars until late at night. It’s a popular place so booking is often necessary on the week-ends. You can do it on their website really easily.
